Sascha Quade,

born in 1988 in the Berlin district of Marzahn-Hellersdorf, is a moderator, actor and multifaceted creative mind.

As a teenager, he quickly develops an interest in film and theatre, which only SNOWBALLS when he gets his hands on his first VHS camera. While still swotting at high school, Sascha is busy making his first short films. In his free time, he tries his hand at acting as part of Berlin’s off-theatre scene, and is engrossed by the vitality of the city’s small theatre collectives.

But he is also interested in taking things further, and so he tries out for small roles in comedies and television dramas. All the while, Sascha Quade is building up his experience behind the camera. For example, EPK’s and making-of’s, shot for artists including Mando Diao and Jan Delay. His first commissions on behalf of Berlin production companies soon follow.

His civil service in Neukölln is followed by journalistic experience as a production assistant and local fixer for a range of BBC documentaries. These include Art of Germany and Berlin History - Dangerous Ideas produced by BBC Two and BBC Four.

Between 2013 and 2016, after Sascha has completed his Communication studies at Berlin University of the Arts, he wins a number of prizes for his short film Meyer.

At auditions, he is valued for his lively and open manner, and he is soon hired as a moderator for Nickelodeon. Since 2013, Sascha has moderated German-language in-house productions for Nickelodeon / Viacom. These include portrait formats, quiz shows and stage shows.

Today, in addition to his work in front of the camera, he is increasingly active as a director and realisateur for a range of clients in the areas of radio, podcasts, television & social media.
